Chapter: contrast spring. Objective To reduce vibrations and stabilize the operation of the system at any rotation speed and operating temperature.
It has been considered theoretically and practically all the existing bearing systems on sale, ball, roller and metallic type radial sliding, all the tests have given unsatisfactory results.
Prototypes have been made with alternative, metallic systems, obtaining negative results.
Only after grueling tests in the lab and on the track we developed the Torsion Controller project.
Thesis The component described above solves the following problems. During the amplitude of the change curve, the sleeve of the mobile pulley (torque corrector) slides axially in the driven pulley group, skimming the hub of the fixed pulley, which describes a small rotation by twisting the contrast spring.
Sometimes the spring loses its position by rubbing on the dry metal-on-metal weight carrier flange, and other times it remains united by determining fortuitously different forces of contrast.
