This collar is delivered with a protective film that must be removed to reveal the stainless steel in satin finish.
It is offered here with a protective strip which allows the collar to be installed or removed without damaging the exterior of the silencer.
The thickness (1mm) of the elastomer strip may prevent the collar from closing properly 360° once it is installed on the silencer.
In order to maintain a good tightening characteristic, it is possible to put a few washers between the two flat parts of the collar, to create support when tightening.
The maximum temperature accepted by the belt is 120° C
